Whether it's a choice of cafes, shops, or kiosks selling ice creams and snacks, South Beach caters to every seaside need.
While enjoying the sun and sand at Felixstowe South Beach, it's essential to note seasonal dog restrictions in clearly signposted areas from 1st May to 30th September. During this period, dogs are not allowed in these designated areas.
Public toilets are strategically located along Felixstowe South Beach, including Seashore Village, Beach Station Road, and Manor Terrace. All facilities provide baby changing and disabled amenities. Opening hours vary, with most operating from 7 am to 5:30 pm in the winter (October to Easter) and from 6 am to 8 pm in the summer (Easter to October). Beach Station Road operates from 6 am to 4:30 pm all year round.
Various pay-and-display car parks offer convenient parking options behind and near Felixstowe South Beach. Locations such as Arwela Road Car Park (IP11 2DQ), The Promenade Car Park (IP11 2AU), Sea Road Car Park (IP11 2DR), and Manor Terrace (IP11 2EL) cater to visitors with operating hours from 8 am to 6 pm, with free parking up to 30 minutes at Manor Terrace.
There are no lifeguard patrols at this beach, so caution is advised while bathing or swimming.
