Why have we decided to create this site? Well…
It actually all started in California. A town called La Jolla just to the north of San Diego. Sat in one of the roof top bars, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, one of PNB’s Directors couldn’t shake a particular feeling…
Yes, La Jolla was a beautiful Californian destination that ticked so many boxes, but, well - wasn’t it also true that we have some of the best beach destinations in the UK?
So an idea formed – that night on that roof terrace. Why not create a site that tried to match the beauty of Suffolk’s unique and varied beaches? The beauty and the beach! So Beaches of Suffolk was born.
Suffolk is a hidden treasure
Like so many things to do with beaches, it started with a family holiday!
One of the PNB Directors was making his very first visit to the Suffolk coast. It didn’t take long before the warmth and charms of this special costal destination had worked its magic! Strolling down Crag Path in Aldeburgh, taking in the sites, sounds and smells of this glorious destination, he was very soon in love. He knew then, it was time!
We needed to produce a site that encapsulated the splendour of Suffolk’s coast. And thus, Beaches of Suffolk was born… we hope we’ve done it proud and that you enjoy our site! Our aim is to showcase Suffolk’s beaches and in so doing give a platform to support the many, many businesses that operate around them.
