Felixstowe North Beach, a quieter stretch compared to its southern counterpart, is embraced by the promenade and the picturesque Seafront Gardens. This beach, conducive to swimming, also features beach huts on the promenade offering delightful ice creams and snacks.
The promenade in Felixstowe was constructed in 1904 and is one of the main attractions of the seafront. The promenade is easily accessible via wide flood gates situation at regular points along the seafront and is flat and level.
Conveniently accessible restaurants, cafes, and toilets enhance the overall beach experience.
some areas of the beach have dog restrictions from 1st May to 30th September, with clear signposted areas indicating these restrictions.
Public toilets are strategically located along the beach at Felixstowe Town Hall, Felixstowe Spa Pavilion, and Bath Tap. All three facilities offer baby changing and disabled amenities. Operating hours are from 7 am to 5:30 pm in the winter (October to Easter) and from 6 am to 8 pm in the summer (Easter to October).
Various parking options are available behind and near Felixstowe North Beach, providing convenience for visitors. Key locations include Pier Bight (IP11 2AD), Convalescent Hill (IP11 2AD), Spa Pavilion Car Park (IP11 7LZ), and Golf Road (IP11 7NB), all operating on a pay-and-display basis.
There are no lifeguard patrols at this beach, so caution is advised while bathing or swimming.
