The seafront and promenade provide seamless access to the beach, making it an ideal spot for various watersports, including swimming, surfing, windsurfing, and jet skiing. A seasonal lifeguard service adds an extra layer of safety.

Lowestoft Beach offers a range of amenities within easy reach, including crazy golf and an array of restaurants, takeaways, and amusements. For those seeking a comfortable beach experience, beach huts can be hired, including the contemporary Eastern Edge huts. Accessible beach huts with level access are available for hire, offering convenience for various needs. A short walk from the boardwalk further enhances accessibility for individuals with disabilities and parents with pushchairs.

Beach Wheelchair

Dog Restrictions

Dogs are banned between 1st May and 30th September, between the South Pier, southward to a point adjacent to the CEFAS building.

Toilet Facilities

Public toilets along Lowestoft South Beach are strategically located behind the beach near Claremont Pier (NR33 0BY), Kirkley Cliff Road Kensington Gardens (NR33 0DF), and Beach Hut Toilets (NR33 0HX), ensuring convenient access.

Car Parking

Various car parks, operating on a pay-and-display basis, are available within walking distance of the beach. Options such as Claremont Pier (NR33 0BS), Kirkley Cliff Road (NR33 0DB), and Pakefield Road (NR33 0HX)

Lifeguard Patrol
